Gamma-ray burst afterglows
Abstract
Swift observations reveal the final temporal gap for GRB-afterglow transition Early X-ray afterglows have been detected for a large number of bursts and a canonical X-ray afterglow lightcurve is emerging A good fraction of Swift bursts have been also detected in lower energy bands UV optical IR radio I will review the standard fireball afterglow model and confront the model with the broad-band afterglow data In particular I will focus on the temporal breaks in the broad-band lightcurves and discuss how latest data shed light onto the origin of these breaks
